Mon Valley Community Health Services, Inc. (MVCHS) is proud to announce Ms. Raelynn Jackson, Practice Manager for MVCHS Primary Care, has been awarded the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) “2015 APEX Innovation Award,” in recognition of her innovative approach to the enhancement and delivery of quality patient care.

Ms. Jackson’s innovative programs include “Meds 2 Beds,” in partnership with Monongahela Valley Hospital and Dierkens Pharmacy. This free service provides patient’s medications right to their door following discharge from the hospital and includes one-on-one consultation with a pharmacist to ensure patients have a complete understanding of their medication.
“It is truly an honor to have Ms. Jackson recognized for her outstanding work,” said Colleen Murphy Arnowitz, Board President of Mon Valley Community Health Services, Inc. “Her passion for and commitment to her work as Practice Manager are commendable. We’re proud to have such an outstanding health professional on our staff.”
This is the second year in a row an MVCHS employee has been honored by the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers. Last year, Aislynn Jenkins, Physician Assistant for MVCHS was the recipient of the PACHC “2014 Outstanding Primary Care Clinician Award,” in recognition of her significant contribution in the delivery of primary care to a vulnerable population, thereby improving access and outcomes of care.
In addition, Ms. Jackson is an Allied Health Instructor for Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA. Prior to these current positions, she was an EHR Implementation Assistant for Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative and Office Manager for Prime Medical Group in Belle Vernon, PA. She earned dual Associate Degrees in Medical Assistance and Medical Business Administration from Douglas Education Center and is currently attending Western Governors University for a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Care Informatics. Her professional achievements include The Merck Vaccination Award, Medical Assistant Certification, and Marketplace Navigator Certification.
The APEX Awards represent the pinnacle of service, quality innovation and achievement in primary health care and are designed to recognize the outstanding efforts of dedicated individuals and teams who work in and/or volunteer for Pennsylvania’s Health Centers.
