At their June meeting, The Old Trails Business and Professional Women's Club presented their annual scholarships to four local high school graduates.
The Pamela Antonio Memorial Scholarships went to:
Kimberly Sears, daughter of Cherie and Michael Sears of California. Kimberly's mother accepted for her while she was on an exchange program in Madrid, Spain. Kimberly will be attending the University of South Carolina for international business and a BS in business administration. |
Tyler Johnson was also a recipient. Tyler, daughter of Cheryle Johnson of Charleroi, will be attending Indiana University for a bachelor of fine arts degree. She is planning to enter the field of art, perhaps as an art teacher. |
The Helen Harkins Memorial Scholarships were presented to:
Nicholas Motichak, son of Sandra and Robert Motichak of Eighty Four. Nicholas, a graduate of Bentworth, will be attending Penn State-Behrend. He will be studying toward a mechanical engineering degree with a minor in business, with the hope of auto designing in the future. |
The Beth Center recipient was McKenna Lohr, daughter of Joelle and Jody Lohr of Scenery Hill. McKenna will be attending Duquesne University for a master's degree in forensic science and law and also a bachelor's degree in biology. She plans to be a forensic biologist or CSI investigator. |
