The family of the late Kim Davis of Allenport was so touched by the quality of cancer care the 53-year-old wife and mother received at Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Charles L. and Rose Sweeney Melenyzer Pavilion and Regional Cancer Center, that they held a fundraiser in her memory and made a $2,750 donation to help others battling the disease.
Husband James Davis and daughter Kelly Sesco, of Finleyville, lost Mrs. Davis to breast cancer on December 31, 2011. The funds raised will help MVH’s cancer patients with nutritional supplements vital to their treatment.
The family plans to donate annually to the fund.
