Ron Necciai of Monongahela, pictured at far left, was the guest speaker at a recent ‘Good Guys Luncheon’ held at Atria's Restaurant & Tavern in McMurray, Pa.

Necciai is the only pro baseball player ever to strike out 27 batters in a game, which he did on May 13, 1952 for the Pittsburgh Pirates Class D Appalachian League team.
