Boy Scout Troop 215 held an Eagle Court on Saturday, April 7 to honor five new Eagle Scouts. This was a very unique and special event, as only 4% of all Boy Scouts achieve this highest rank. The First Bethel United Methodist Church in Bethel Park hosted the Eagle Court and a follow-up reception with refreshments.

Every potential Eagle Scout must complete a community service project as the last and most difficult hurdle to attaining this highest scout ranking. The five new Eagle Scouts from Troop 215 each completed their Eagle projects to benefit the local communities, areas, and communities listed.
Jacob Daschbach - the Montour Trail in Bethel Park; Brody Flowers - the Saw Mill Run and McMillan watersheds; Mark Hurey - the Montour Trail in Cecil Township; Andrew Davis - the Montour Trail in Bethel Park; Connor Wholey - the Enoch Wright House in Peters Township. All of these outdoor areas were functionally improved and beautified by their efforts.
The new Eagle Scouts received many letters and honors from national, state, and local civic leaders. Three organizations attended and recognized the five young men, including the American Legion Post 760 of Betel Park, The U.S. Coast Guard, and the B.P.O.E., Pittsburgh South Hills Lodge 2213. All three presented the new Eagles with award certificates and other honors.
