Nolan is the Son of Beth and Steve Sion of Monongahela. Nolan joined the Cub Scouts 12 years ago, and since joining Troop #1448, he has completed all required ranks, has earned 25 merit badges, has held position of Senior Patrol Leader, and has gained membership in the Order of the Arrow.

Nolan is currently a senior at Ringgold High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Ringgold track team, and is employed at The Residence at Hilltop. He plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh to study criminal justice.

For his Eagle Scout project, the memorial at the American Legion Post #527 in Rankin, PA needed some help. Nolan created and designed a new memorial to honor the men and women who faithfully and proudly served our country. After many hours of planning and hard work, the American Legion Post #527 has a new memorial with a granite stone, a newly erected flagpole, benches and landscaping to honor our veterans. A court of honor ceremony will be held in November.

Nolan would like to thank the donors, his family, friends, Troop #1448, and members of the American Legion Post #527 for all their help in making this project a great success.
