Dr. Jody Spedaliere, who teaches English at both California University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, has recently published The First Post-Modernist Poets – Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson: A New Way of Reading Classic Texts.
The study published by the Edwin Mellen Press demonstrates how Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson utilized postmodern literary devices in constructing their poetry, and why they should be considered the first postmoderns.
