Library News

Rostraver Library recently announced its April events.

Penn State Master Gardener Sherry Capko will be on hand for an all-ages program, "Fairy Gardens For You." Come learn about one of the hottest new trends in backyard and flower gardening, just in time for planning for this season. Fairy gardens make a great family project - find out how to do it April 21 at 6:30 p.m. Please register in advance at the library or by calling 724-379-5511

Rostraver Public Library has collected original poetry from area students and adults in anticipation of National Poetry Month. First-place prizes will be awarded in each age category. Winners will be announced April 12 at 6 p.m. in a Poetry Fest and Awards Ceremony. The evening program is free and open to the public.

The Knitters meet each Tuesday and alternate the time between afternoon and evening. Please call the library at 724-379-5511 for the time schedule.

The Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. on April 13. Jeffrey Archer's "Only Time Will Tell" will be discussed. New members are always welcome.

Preschool Storytime for those 3-5 years of age meets on Thursday and Friday morning. Preregistration is required. For space availability, please call the library

Francine Herent Miceli will present a program on Zentangle, a creative process to relax and de-stress, on Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m. The "Yoga for the Mind" takes repetitive drawing to create beautiful images.
