Whitehall Public Library announces December Events.
Teen Advisory Group - Wednesday Dec 2 @ 6 p.m.
Join the teen advisory board. TAG meets once per month to express ideas, organize upcoming library activities, and suggest new teen programs. They also help to choose library materials, decorate the teen area, and compete other projects in the library. TAG members can meet new friends, enjoy pizza and earn community service hours! Registration required.
Cloud Storage with Onedrive - Wednesday December 2 @ 7 p.m.
Calling all Microsoft fans: You will sign up for a free cloud service through your Microsoft Account, and learn the basics of sharing and storing your documents and photos on Microsoft’s Onedrive. An email address is required for this class (if you need help setting up an email address, please come to the library prior to class time, and a staff member will assist you). Registration required.
American Girl Book Club - Saturday December 5 @ 11 a.m.
The American Girl Doll Book Club will meet and discuss a different doll and her book each month. Books are available at the circulation desk. Each month we will have a craft, play a game and have a book themed snack. This program is recommended ages 7 to 10. Registration required.
Move and Groove Storytime: HOLIDAY EDITION! - Monday December 7 @ 7 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and shake, shimmy and dance. This storytime will focus on music and movement. Children will dance, use scarves, rhythm sticks, egg shakers, musical instruments, bubbles, and parachute. No registration required.
Family Ornament Night - Monday December 14 @ 7 p.m.
Make special ornaments with the whole family for the holidays. Add some sparkle to your holidays and your holiday gift giving! Registration Required.
Christmas with Chaplin: A Musical Presentation - Tuesday December 15 @ 1 p.m.
Celebrate the holidays with everyone’s favorite “Little Tramp” – Charlie Chaplin! In 2011, the Pittsburgh Symphony asked pianist and composer Tom Roberts to compose new scores for two of Chaplin’s early masterpieces while with the Mutual Film Corporation. Mr. Roberts will screen both film shorts with his own instrumental scores and give a presentation about Charlie Chaplin that is anything but silent! In addition, we’ll have holiday songs and a light lunch courtesy of our South Hills Community Connect sponsors! FREE - Registration required. Space is limited.
