The Library provides training/assistance for patrons in the following areas:
- Computer Classes – Thursday evenings after 3 p.m. or one-on-one by appointment
- Social Media – (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) First and third Monday of the month or by appointment
- E-Reader – Tuesdays from 2:15 to 4 p.m.
Adult Activities
The Library Board will meet on Monday, October 6 at 5 p.m. in the Board Room.
Friends of the John K. Tener Library will meet at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 in the Library’s Children’s Section.
The Book Club will meet on October 9 at 5:45 p.m. Club members are reading Johnstown Girls by Kathleen George. Books are available at the front desk. New members are always welcome. The Book Club meets on the second Thursday of each month.
Teen and Children's Activities
- Teen Book Club will meet on Monday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m. Members will be reading popular young adult fiction, choosing from such classics as The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Giver, etc.
- Fall Story Time takes place the first and third Friday of the month, October 3 and 17 at 12:30 p.m. The pre-K age group (children between 3 and 5 years of age) is the target audience.
- Books to Movies Saturday, October 11, and Saturday, October 25 at 12:30 p.m. A Saturday matinee screening a selection of family friendly fare.
