The West Newton Library was able to purchase and catalog for the Westmoreland Library Network a book titled Jack's Journey USA, by a former West Newton resident Dawn Celapino, who now makes her home in California.

Jack's Journey USA, was written by former resident Dawn Celapino. Her parents, Jack and Norma Celapino, recently deceased, were the owners of Hillcrest Service Station, West Newton, and Jack and his brother Frank owned the service station that is now the Trailside Restaurant on West Side. Norma, her mother, was very active in the West Newton Woman's Club and the First Baptist Church. Dawn has a sister, Lynn Celapino McCauley, and two brothers, Jack Celapino and Randy Celapino.
