“I love giving personal attention to my customers. Nothing goes to a middleman here – I deal with all their concerns and problems. This is a hands on company,” says Joshua Eori, owner and operator of Mon Valleys’s newest home improvement venue – 5 Star Plumbing.

Though 5 Star has only been opened since July, Josh Eori has been in the business for over 20 years. The Belle Vernon native is a licensed master plumber, with previous plumbing experience in West Virginia and Fayette County.  After 20 years of working for others, Josh decided to venture out on his own.

“It was time to move on and to see what I could do with my own business,” he said. “My idea is to keep low overhead, eliminate expenses and charge by the job, not by the hour. The savings are passed on to the customer.”

Eori and several employees handle all types of plumbing work, both commercial and residential. On any given day, Josh’s young son Demetri can be found following him around, helping out. “5 Star is a family run business and that’s important to me,” said Josh, “I like serving the community I grew up in.” Joshua went to Belle Vernon high school and opened his business in Smithton.

Josh says the most common type of work they perform is still drain cleaning and snaking clogged pipes, though 5 Star offers a comprehensive line of services. “We do all types of repair work. We do water, gas, sewer, septic, installation and excavation work. We do some great bathroom remodeling work also,” he added.

5 Star Plumbing is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They serve the Mon Valley, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.  Eori prides himself on giving each customer individual attention. “You won’t get an answering machine, you will talk to me directly,” he said.
