Balanced Body - Classes begin Sept 3 with 40+ weekly land classes designed for all fitness levels, ages 14 and up. Some of the classes included in this session are Group Cycle, Basic Training, Step, Cardio Kick, Basic Strength, and Cardio Combo. Morning classes specifically for the active older adult include Yoga, Circuit, Cardio, Senior Swing, Classic, and Walk Off the Pounds.
All classes are free to members, SilverSneaker members, and Silver and Fit members. Nonmembers can join for just the Balanced Body classes.
Zumba - Begins September 3 with 8 land classes both morning and evening. Zumba for beginners is held Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. Aqua Zumba, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., begins on September 20.
Youth Extreme - Helps students ages 12-16 increase their speed, agility, strength, and flexibility and is held on Mondays at 5:45 p.m. beginning September 9. Perfect for the student athlete, this class will be held outside weather permitting.
Yoga for Kids - For ages 6-10, begins Tuesday, October 1 from 5:45 - 6:20 p.m. This class has students practicing mindful breathing, balance and strength poses, and helps improve concentration, self-awareness, and respect for their own health as well as respect for others.
Boot Camp for Kids - Beginning on Wednesday, September 4 is held at 5:45 p.m. for ages 5-8 and at 6:30 PM for ages 8-13. This program encourages kids to stay active and therefore have better self-esteem, be more alert at school and perform better at sports.
Water Exercise - Begins September 19 with 17 pool classes allowing those who have difficulty with land-based exercise to get a great workout. Those participants who want to push their fitness level further by cross training can use the water’s resistance for more of a challenge and to give over-used joints a break. Beginner level participants will enjoy the gentle effects of the Arthritis class, sanctioned by the Arthritis Foundation, Splash, or Wet Vest. Experienced fitness enthusiasts may prefer Aqua Power, Aqua Fit, Aqua Zumba , SplashDance or Advanced Wet Vest.
