Monongahela Valley Hospital’s (MVH) Rostraver Imaging is expanding its hours for people who need MRIs. In addition to its normal hours, beginning on October 17, Rostraver Imaging will offer MRIs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“It’s not always easy for people who work or attend classes during the day to fit MRIs into their schedules,” said Louis J. Panza Jr., president and CEO of Monongahela Valley Hospital. “By offering evening hours, Rostraver Imaging makes it more convenient for them to have the medical imaging their physicians need to make an accurate diagnosis.”
Rostraver Imaging is a full-service outpatient diagnostic imaging site that offers open and closed MRIs, CT scans, ultrasound imaging and X-rays. All of the imaging services are performed by MVH’s skilled medical professionals. Prescribing physicians have access to the diagnostic images 24/7.
Most physicians can log into MVH’s Picture Archiving Communications System to view the images from any computer; and, when several physicians are involved in a person’s care, they can each retrieve the images online simultaneously, in real time, for diagnosis and to discuss treatment.
Rostraver Imaging is located in the Peasant Village Professional Plaza at 100 Peasant Village Lane in Belle Vernon. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8 p.m. for MRIs. No appointments are needed for X-rays. Most major insurance plans are accepted. Parking is close to the building and free.
