Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) will hold its semi-annual Multiphasic Blood Analysis Screening on Saturday, September 23, from 7 to 10 a.m. in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center on the hospital campus. The analysis is open to the public with a cost of $25 per person.
Register Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. by calling 724-258-1282. Registration is required and closes on Wednesday, September 20.
From one small blood sample, 36 individual tests will be performed that can detect diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys and circulatory system. The screening will also include a full lipid profile.
Other tests, including a blood test for diabetes (Hemoglobin A1C), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), prostatic specific antigen (PSA), and Vitamin D will also be available for an additional cost.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Parking is free for participants.
