Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) and its parent organization, Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc. (MVHR), re-elected R. Carlyn Belczyk, chairman; and Jeff M. Kotula, vice chairman, of their boards.

Bradley M. Bassi was elected to his first term as the secretary of the boards.
Mrs. Belczyk is a certified public accountant who is accredited in business valuations and a certified valuation analyst. She was first appointed to the MVH and MVHR boards in 2005. She was elected secretary in 2007, vice chairman in 2010 and chairman in 2015.
Mr. Kotula, who is president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, was elected to the Board of Directors of Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc. in 2008 and to the hospital’s Board of Trustees in 2009. Mr. Kotula began serving as the secretary to both boards in 2010 and vice chairman in 2015.
Mr. Bassi is an attorney who is a partner with Bassi, Vreeland & Associates PC in Charleroi. He was elected to the MVHR and MVH boards in 2012. He serves on the Nominating, Bylaws, and Hospital Planning and Outreach committees.
In addition to the election of officers, nine directors were reelected to the MVHR board including: Lillian C. Beattie; Walter R. Cox, M.D; John D. Fry; S.P. Hewie, M.D; David T. Hunter; Jeffrey D. Imbrescia; R.G. Krishnan, M.D.; Kevin M. Lee; and Jaime L. Prah.
Five directors were also reelected to Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Board of Trustees including John D. Fry; S.P. Hewie, M.D; R.G. Krishnan, M.D.; Kevin M. Lee; and Jamie L. Prah. In addition, Archie Allridge, who has been an MVHR board member since 2015, was elected to his first term to fill to fill the vacancy created when Dana Caruso Slagle resigned to move out of state. Mrs. Slagle served on the MVHR board from 1999 to 2017 and the MVH board from 2005 to 2017.
