Hiram Gonzalez, M.D., a surgeon at Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH), will discuss MVH’s weight control and wellness program during a free education session on Thursday, September 1 at 6 p.m. in the hospital’s Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center.
Dr. Gonzalez will explain the three types of minimally invasive bariatric surgery MVH offers. The surgery is a weight reduction option for people struggling to lose 100 pounds or more.
“A few of the people who have had the surgery at Monongahela Valley Hospital this year have lowered their blood pressure and even eliminated the need for their diabetes medications,” reports Dr. Gonzalez.
Parking is free for the session. To register, call 724-258-1333.
