Douglas Pepper, M.D. was elected president of the medical staff at Monongahela Valley Hospital. He succeeds Walter R. Cox, M.D. who served as MVH’s medical staff president from 2012-2016.

Dr. Pepper is a family practice physician. For Dr. Pepper, family practice runs in his family. He shares an office on Broad Avenue in Belle Vernon with his daughter, M. Elizabeth Pepper, M.D.
Dr. Pepper earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson Medical College. He completed his residency at McKeesport Hospital. At Monongahela Valley Hospital, Dr. Pepper is a member of the medical executive, joint conference and credentials committees. He also has served on the medical staff symposium, patient care management and peer review committees.
In addition to Dr. Pepper, medical staff officers who will serve a two-year term include: Vice President John A. Holets, M.D., Secretary-Treasurer Ari E. Pressman, M.D., and Immediate Past President Walter R. Cox, M.D.
