Kristin is a biology major and BVA graduate, class of 2015. Each year, the GRC provides three scholarships to California University of PA, Douglas Education Center and Westmoreland County Community College, which are then awarded to students within the service area. Each college makes the selection of the scholarship recipient.

This year, the GRC will add one additional scholarship to be awarded to a student at Belle Vernon Area High School. The Andrew Solan Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student who displays volunteer service and leadership to the school and/or community. The application is on file at Belle Vernon Area High School guidance department office.

The annual GRC Fall Classic Golf Outing benefits the scholarship program. This year’s Fall Classic will be held on Friday, September 30 at Cedarbrook Golf Course. Watch for information and details about the event coming soon.
