Summer is finally on its way, and for many in the Mon Valley, summer means fun in the sun at Pine Cove Beach Club. The pool, picnic, and RV park is located on Route 481 in Charleroi between the Fallowfield Firehall and the entrance to Route 70.

Pine Cove was originally named Nealson Park and opened its doors in 1927. Ferdie and Janis Rach purchased the pool in 1955 and renamed it Pine Cove Swim Club in 1969. It became Pine Cove Beach Club in 1988 when Ferdie and Janis sold the pool to their son Jim. Jim and his wife, Connie, run Pine Cove as a private club but non-members can come and enjoy the pool if accompanied by a member.
