The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor its finest at Monongahela Valley Hospital's Anthony Lombardi Education Conference Center on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at its annual awards event.
The event sponsor is Monongahela Valley Hospital and presentation sponsor is Charleroi Federal Savings Bank.
This year's recipients are:
Shining Star Award - The Whiten Family Excellence in Business - DeLattre CorporationOutstanding Business Development - Gene and Boots CandiesRegional Service (nonprofit) Award - Auxiliary of Mon Vale Health Resources, Inc.
"We have a great slate of honorees," said Executive Director Deb Keefer. "We are so proud to be honoring two generational family businesses, a local family who has a legacy steeped in service, and an outstanding volunteer auxiliary organization that has touched so many of our lives at Monongahela Valley Hospital."
The reception style event begins at 5:30 p.m. with the award ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m. Chamber members received invitations in the U.S. mail; however, the public is invited to attend and may call the Chamber at 724-483-3507 to arrange for their reservation. Program sponsorships are still available. Registration cost is $25/person and can also be purchased on line at the Chamber's website. Space will be limited so early RSVP's are encouraged.
Gene&Boots: Gene and Boots Candies is among the honorees that will be recognized at the Chamber's September 11 Awards Event for "Outstanding Business Development." Still a family-owned business and now expanded to multiple locations, the company was founded in 1930. |
DeLattre Corporation will be awarded the "Excellence in Business" award. Anna and Martin DeLattre are a father/daughter team at their firm, which was founded by Eugene DeLattre in 1958. |
