Now entering their 25th year in practice, the Practice of: K. Gosai, M.D. and A.J. Gandhi, M.D., have provided world class medical care to the Mon Valley communities with a professional, humble and loving approach. Through very hard work and unprecedented dedication to their patients and staff, these doctors have carved out a specialized practice where patients receive superior medical attention while being treated like family members. It is not uncommon to be met by one of our physicians with a big hug instead of a handshake.
Beginning in 2012, the medical practice in conjunction with the District Attorney, County Coroner, Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Attorney General’s office spear headed several Prescription Drug Summits throughout Washington and Westmoreland Counties. The group has reached out to more than 5,000 middle and high school students and community members educating them on the dangers of prescription drug abuse.
To continue to meet the growing needs of specific patients, from the onset, Drs. Gosai and Gandhi have offered internal medicine, specializing in diabetes care, and a focus on women’s health. In the hopes to continue to provide the world class care these doctors have instilled in their practice, the small town’s modest practice now has three locations; Bentleyville, Charleroi and California. Keeping the additional locations in rural areas, these newly renovated facilities are equipped to provide the utmost cutting edge and convenience in medical care. When visiting one of these contemporary facilities one can see that the doctors promise to maintain the high quality medical attention these physicians require.
All three offices are open 5 days a week; offer same day appointments and accept most private insurances. The offices all have a plush waiting room, large plasma screen TV’s and fireplaces. In addition, anyone with a busy personal or work life can easily schedule an appointment with convenient hours of operation starting at 7:30am, five days a week. Saturday hours are available at the Charleroi location. For added convenience, all locations have a department solely devoted to IV infusion. Providing this service saves patients time and money by allowing those who require IV infusions a costly and time consuming trip to the hospital.
Gosai and Gandhi also have a certified diabetes and nutrition educator on staff. Since 1988, Kara Anthony, CDE, has been offering patients and their families’ valuable education on the subject of diabetes, while adding the fundamentals of the all-important nutritional education.
In addition to the efficient services and beautiful offices, patients and doctors can communicate easily, safely and securely over the Internet via a patient portal. Patients are given secure passwords that allow them to log into the practice’s system to see their own private set of documents including labs, diagnostics, statements and messages. The office can automatically remind patients for their health maintenance reminders, procedure due dates and also send them patient statements and lab results electronically—minimizing the need for patients to call the office.
Now available by Patient Portal, patients can view prescription information, lab results and appointment information in a timely manner. Patients can also request prescription refills, send and receive messages to and from the doctor or nurse, complete health assessments, examine their statements to see their balance and much more.
Using the Patient Portal, our providers have faster and timelier interaction with the patient, and no wasted time playing “phone tag” with patients. Instant Medical History provides an additional level of secure communication between patient and provider, allowing providers to be informed and pro-active at the time of the encounter.
When it comes to one’s medical needs in the Mon Valley and surrounding areas, there is only one choice that can provide high quality medical service, with a small town touch, come and see the practice of Gosai and Gandhi, they are right in your back yard!
