Sanderson Psychological has been serving the Elizabeth and surrounding communities since 2016 and opened a second location in Washington, PA in 2023. With almost 30 counselors, the practice has continued to expand their expertise and service offerings to support mental health in the surrounding communities.
Mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being. As awareness about mental health continues to grow, the role of mental health counseling providers becomes increasingly critical. The importance of mental health counseling providers extends far beyond the individual; they serve as vital pillars in fostering healthier, more resilient communities by helping families improve their relationships, giving couples the tools they need for better communication and individuals an outlet to process life’s challenges.
As the years have gone by, the practice has grown, expanding their offerings to better serve the community including EMDR, bariatric clearances, police candidate evaluations, and more. Sanderson Psychological is now offering psychological testing as well.
Psychological testing is about gathering information so that a clinician can provide a diagnosis which can help a person gain better self-understanding and the support they need whether that be counseling, accommodations, or referrals. Psychological testing can provide clarity on how to move forward with care and compassion and to help a person overcome challenges and harness their true potential. Testing will be available for ADHD (diagnostic and neuropsychological), Autism Spectrum Disorder, IQ, Bipolar disorder and more. Sanderson Psychological looks forward to continuing to be an advocate for mental health in the community and giving access to these much needed services and evaluations.
Access to mental health services fosters a sense of security and well-being among community members and Sanderson Psychological is at the heart of building that in the Elizabeth and Washington communities.
