Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified emergency medicine physician Anthony J. Cocciolone, DO, to its medical staff.

Dr. Cocciolone joins the teams at Penn Highlands Connellsville, located at 401 East Murphy Avenue in Connellsville, and Penn Highlands Mon Valley, located at 1163 Country Club Road in Monongahela. He is experienced in treating complex and critical needs, including life-threatening circumstances ranging from stroke and heart attack to injuries following a traumatic accident.

Common treatments and procedures include broken bones, chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, severe abdominal pain, severe allergic reaction, slurred speech, stroke, uncontrolled bleeding and weakness on one side.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Cocciolone practiced at Westmoreland Emergency Medicine Specialists in Greensburg. Dr. Cocciolone is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
