Penn Highlands Healthcare Welcomes Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon Luke K. Marone, MD, FACS, to its Medical Staff.

Luke K. Marone, MD, FACS has joined the team at Penn Highlands Vascular Surgery at 1029 Country Club Road, Suite 204, in Monongahela.

Dr. Marone has nearly three decades of experience. He is a highly renowned, fellowship-trained specialist, conferring the highest level of training in his field. He has served as Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Chief of Vascular Radiology Services and Co-Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute at West Virginia University. He has been named a Pittsburgh Best Doctor for three consecutive years.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Marone practiced at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.; UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh; UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh; UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh; UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh; Summersville Regional Medical Center in Summersville, W.Va.; St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, W.Va.; Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, W.Va.; Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, W.Va.; Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway, W.Va.; Davis Medical Center in Elkins, W.Va.; United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, W.Va.; Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glendale, W.Va.; Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Md.; Monongahela Valley Hospital in Monongahela; Fairmont Regional Medical Center in Fairmont, W.Va.; Grafton Memorial Hospital in Grafton, W.Va.; Jameson Hospital in Newcastle; Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Mass.; and Shriners Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Dr. Marone graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass. He completed his internship in general surgery, residency in general surgery and a distinguished fellowship of the society for vascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery; fellow of the American College of Surgeons; and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, International Society for Vascular Surgery and Eastern Vascular Society.
