On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, the Southpointe CEO Association (SPCEOA) hosted over 150 regional business leaders for the organization’s annual ‘Spirit of Southpointe Award and Reception’ featuring Lucas B. Piatt, Owner and CEO of Millcraft.
In a session held at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe, Evan Rosenberg, Publisher of the Pittsburgh Business Times moderated a unique one-on-one conversation with Mr. Piatt about his company, its opportunities, and its leadership in the development of the Greater Pittsburgh Region. Following the discussion, Mr. Piatt was recognized with the 2021 Jack B. Piatt Spirit of Southpointe Award which included a $10,000 donation on Mr. Piatt’s behalf to the Jack B. Piatt Scholarship Fund which supports Washington County students seeking further education in college or the trades.
According to Jeff Kotula, President of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and host for the event, the Jack B. Piatt Spirit of Southpointe Award honors the vision of Jack Piatt and his legacy of innovation in our region. Mr. Kotula stated, “Over the years we have been honored to present this award to numerous business leaders that have shared Jack Piatt’s vision of thinking big and driving our area forward. We also honor his memory by providing opportunities for those who will be the next leaders of our region. It is appropriate that we recognize his son Lucas’ achievements today as he carries on his father’s faith in our bright future.”
