To celebrate, the community was invited to its Grand Opening on Friday, August 9, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the 500 block of Miller Street in Clairton, Pennsylvania, 15025.
Cornerstone Care’s Mobile Community Health Center was on-site to provide dental services including dental cleaning, fluoride application, and dental x-rays. Additionally, the Cornerstone Care staff was present to help schedule on-going medical appointments during the event. The Grand Opening included a brief ceremony, music, refreshments (including Kona Ice), an array of activities, prizes and giveaways.
“We are grateful to Clairton for welcoming us with open arms so we can continue our mission of increasing access to primary health care such as family medical practice, dental services, behavioral health services, and more,” said Cornerstone Care CEO Richard Rinehart. “This family practice is just the beginning because we believe that everyone deserves high quality, affordable health care to meet a full range of primary health needs.”
The Grand Opening was part of a national recognition of the role of community health centers during National Health Center Week. The theme, “Rooted in Communities,” highlighted that health centers thrive on the dedication of local employees, the support of patients and partnerships with community organizations.
Care options at the new Clairton location include family practice, pediatrics, general dentistry, orthodontics, psychiatry and counseling, podiatry and chiropractic services as well as mobile medical and dental services. Appointments can be made by calling 412-226-5454; hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
