By Alice Harris

Marilyn Sanner of Monongahela, decided to go to culinary school when her two youngest children started middle school.

Honey Bee 1
Marilyn Sanner at the counter of Honey Bee Bakery, invites you to stop by.

Due to her love for baking, and her passion for the culinary arts, Sanner graduated with a 4.0 average. She then ventured into the bakery business by selling her cakes everywhere while working out of the old Ginger Hill Grange. Just in the past four years, Sanner has sold over 1,000 cakes just taking personal orders! Then, last year when a retail space became available at 3726 Dry Run Road in Monongahela, she decided to open her own business, and Honey Bee Bakery was born.

Honey Bee Bakery specializes in wedding cakes, specialty cakes, 3-D cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, gourmet cookies, pastries, breads, and much more. Customers often send photos of the cake they would like and Marilyn will make them. On their Facebook page, you can find many photos of the goodies that are available. Visit their Facebook page at: http://facebook.com/honeybeebakery1. Customers can also message her there with questions and orders.

Stop by for a visit to Honey Bee Bakery, and say hello and pick up some delicious goodies. You can call in to place an order or to ask questions at 724-809-3401.
