The Charleroi Design Committee

The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce has managed the Charleroi Façade Improvement Program since 2011. The matching grant program offers reimbursement on eligible project costs including signage, painting, lighting and more. This program improves the community streetscape and property values and spurs economic development in the Borough of Charleroi and the mid-Mon Valley.

Below are statistics for phases I, II, and III of the Charleroi Façade Improvement Project as of July 2017:

  • Façade Grants Issued since 2011:        $154,808.81
  • Total Improvements:                              $337,294.21
  • Total Properties Improved:                            44

The Charleroi Design Committee is now accepting applications for Phase IV.  There is a balance left in phase III which will be closed out with projects that are in progress or pending.

For questions on the program, or to get an application packet, please contact the program’s administrator, Deb Keefer, at the MVRCC at 724-483-3507.
