The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (MVRCC) recently was awarded $65,000 for Phase IV funding by the Washington County Local Share Account and is coordinated with the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington and Pa. DCED.

The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce has managed the Charleroi Façade Improvement Program since 2011. The matching grant program offers reimbursement on eligible project costs including signage, painting, lighting and more. This program improves the community streetscape and property values and spurs economic development in the Borough of Charleroi and the mid-Mon Valley.
Below are statistics for phases I, II, and III of the Charleroi Façade Improvement Project as of July 2017:
- Façade Grants Issued since 2011: $154,808.81
- Total Improvements: $337,294.21
- Total Properties Improved: 44
The Charleroi Design Committee is now accepting applications for Phase IV. There is a balance left in phase III which will be closed out with projects that are in progress or pending.
