Tim Bartman, President and owner of Bartman, Inc., started his business in 1976 and gave himself 5 years to get in or get out – and get into something else. He stayed in and is now celebrating his 40th year in business.

He is a little grayer and a lot wiser, but still runs his business with the same goals he started with 40 years ago – Commitment to his customers, treating them with honesty and respect.
Tim said, “100% satisfaction is a lofty goal and maybe an unattainable goal, but that just makes Bartman employees try all the harder.” Tim has always stood behind the work of his company, not just a name on the business, but a hands on owner who will go out on the job with his employees if needed. Many times a call has come in from someone in the military who has just come home from active duty or is soon being deployed. Tim will tell his tech to make the repair, charge them nothing and tell them it is to thank them for their service to our country. The key to Tim’s success is that it is not always just about business; it’s caring about people, too.
Tim started out small, working from his garage with his two brothers, Bob and Ron, who still work for him today. He is now the owner of two businesses, Bartman Plumbing and One Hour Heating and Air, with 15 employees. Over the years, as Tim grew his business, he still found time to be involved with both the Monongahela Chamber of Commerce and the Monongahela Rotary, and has served as president of both. He has sponsored numerous softball and baseball teams and has given support to all Ringgold sports or school events when asked.
Today it’s not uncommon to see a new business open and within a year close its doors. But when a business has been successful for 40 years, they are doing something right. And as Bartman, Inc. celebrates its anniversary, the success of the company must be attributed to Tim Bartman and the goals he set 40 years ago.
