The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce (GRC) held a ribbon cutting at Monessen City Park Amphitheater recently to celebrate the cleaning of the 1930s stone patio area near the amphitheater road.

Ribbon cutting at Monessen City Park Amphitheater

The patio was built as a Works Progress Administration Project (WPA), just like the amphitheater. A foot of dirt, weeds, and debris were removed and the historic wall was rebuilt after years of neglect; the stone was also cleaned, all thanks to volunteers. Flowers were donated and planted, and the sign was installed. The sign was created by Robin Berish of Create with Colour.
