The Elizabeth Forward Marching Band won second place on Oct. 19 at the Tournament of Bands Chapter 8 Championship. The Warriors band finished with a score of 80.1, according to EFHS Band Director Jessica Sapp. It’s the first time the band, which features musicians in grades 7-12, scored in the 80th percentile since 2014.

Pastor Tim Green and his wife Jan, of Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh hosted a vibrant ‘Community Days’ event that brought together residents of West Elizabeth and neighboring communities for a day of fun and fellowship. The event featured a variety of activities, including games, face painting, and pumpkin painting, creating an engaging and family-friendly atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed a delicious spread of food, from fresh-baked goods, cookies, and brownies to hearty chicken, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to connect, celebrate, and strengthen their sense of community.
