Holy Family, West Newton, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, will hold their 10th Annual Trash and Treasure Sale on Thursday, August 21 from 5 - 8 p.m.; Friday, August 22 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Saturday, August 23 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Drop off dates are August 16 - 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Church Social Hall. Event to Raise Funds for Park Renovation Project and Senior Kelsy Lawson

On Saturday, August 16, North Belle Vernon Borough will be sponsoring a double fundraiser to be held at the North Belle Vernon Community Park. The monies raised will go towards both the park renovation project and a BVA High School senior that was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

The Ellsworth Sportsmen's Club in Scenery Hill is holding its 2nd Annual ESC Bike Run on Saturday, August 9. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. at the Cokeburg Dam. The run is less than 100 miles and will end at the ESC Clubhouse where there will be food, entertainment, raffles, and giveaways.
