The West Newton Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the First Ward. Mummers are to meet at the West Newton Elementary School and the WN Police will lead the parade promptly at 1 p.m.

During the month of October, Holy Family Parish, 225 N. Second Street, West Newton will be collecting bath and hand towels to be distributed to the homeless in Pittsburgh through the "Men of the Boulevard" program, sponsored by St Peter's Historic Church Parish. Please provide CLEAN towels in useable condition. Thank you for supporting this program.

The colors of the leaves are beginning to change, which means the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley is about to be underway. Join them Friday through Sunday October 14-16, 21-23 and 28-30 for this fall event.
