For the third year in a row, The Good Ol’ Days House and former home of five WWII veterans of the Stringhill family will be the sponsor and main site for an Election Day collection of new socks, to be donated to the Veterans homeless shelter in Washington and distributed to veterans in our local hospitals.

Donations of new socks will be collected from noon to 7 p.m. at The Good Ol’ Days House, 914 Broad Avenue in North Belle Vernon. Stop in for some old-fashioned refreshments such as fried bologna, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, nostalgic candy, and lemon blend!

Additionally, save the date! Our 9th Annual Christmas Open House and Pajama Party to benefit the Domestic Violence Services of SWPA is scheduled for December 7 from noon to 7 pm.
