CRAFTERS WANTED!

The library is looking for crafters with hand-made items for its special fundraising event on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Shoppes at Caste Village. Space is limited. No vendors, please. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! It’s Booktoberfest!
Come and see What’s Brewing at the Whitehall Public Library… Books, Beers and Bites. The Friends of the Whitehall Public Library will host a special fundraising event with their first annual Booktoberfest, a book sale preview night party! Booktoberfest will be held on Friday October 9th from 6-9 p.m. in the Whitehall Borough Building’s Community Room and Library. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. The price of admission allows an opportunity to shop the Book Sale’s grand opening, enjoy food, drinks and entertainment, and win prizes. You must be 21 years or older to attend. PROGRAMS:
Move and Groove Storytime - Thursday October 1 @ 11 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and shake, shimmy and dance. This storytime will focus on music and movement. Children will dance, use scarves, rhythm sticks, egg shakers, musical instruments, bubbles, and parachute.

American Girl Book Club - Saturday October 3 @ 11 a.m.
The American Girl Doll Book Club will meet and discuss a different doll and her book each month. Books are available at the circulation desk. Each month we will have a craft, play a game and have a book themed snack. This program is recommended ages 7 to 10. Teen Advisory Group - Wednesday October 7 @ 6 p.m.
We are recruiting teen volunteers! Join the teen advisory board. TAG meets once per month to express ideas, organize upcoming library activities, and suggest new teen programs. They also help to choose library materials, decorate the teen area, and complete other projects in the library. TAG members can meet new friends, enjoy pizza and earn community service hours! TAG meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Online registration at www.whitehallpubliclibrary.org is required or call 412-882-6622.

• Friday, October 9 - Booktoberfest! 6 - 9 p.m. (Must purchase a ticket to attend Special Preview Night)
• Saturday & Sunday, October 10-11 - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Adult Hardbacks reduced to $1)
• Monday, October 12 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. ($3 per bag) Bring your own bag, or get a free one from us (no over-sized garbage bags please)
