The Southpointe Rink Rats Double AA Squirt hockey team participated in the Preston International Hockey tournament January 13-15 in Kitchener, Ontario. This team is part of the Southpointe Rink Rats Hockey Association.

The boys played a total of five games over the course of the weekend. They are the first American team in the tournament's 59-year history to ever win the championship. The coaches and players are from communities throughout the South Hills, like Peters, South Fayette, Bethel Park, Thomas Jefferson, etc. The boys are about 12 years old.
