The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (MVRCC) is pleased to name the Mon Valley YMCA as its February Member Spotlight business.

The Mon Valley YMCA is a nationally affiliated character-building association focusing on program services for individuals and families. Christian in its heritage, it is ecumenical in its delivery of services and its membership.

The YMCA assists people in learning skills and attitudes that will enrich their lives, help them grow and develop, lead them to interracial and intergenerational understanding and to realize their full potential as members of this community. Every day, the Y works side by side with its neighbors to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The Mon Valley YMCA Board of Directors is led by President Dr. Randall Rodriguez and Jeff Vitale serves as Executive Director.

Among the valuable programs at the Mon Valley YMCA is youth development, including family enrichment programming. They operate a state-licensed preschool and day care.

The Y promotes healthy living through youth and adult aquatics, Silver Sneakers, and group fitness and personal Training. The Wellness Center consists of a 6,800 square-foot workout area equipped with cardio, strength, and functional fitness equipment; 40 weekly exercise classes are offered and are designed for all ages and fitness levels.

The Mon Valley YMCA was awarded the Chamber’s annual “Regional Service Award” in 2004 for its outstanding contributions in providing a better quality of life for our Mon Valley community.
