Local author Charlotte Hopkins has released a new children’s book titled, ‘When Daddy Dies Too Soon,’ a story created to help young readers understand loss, grief, and the power of love that remains. The book is a reminder for children that even when someone they love is gone, their memories and their love stay with them forever.

A percentage of every book sale will be donated to Karl McCrum and his family. McCrum’s son, Josiah McCrum, tragically passed away last year in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind two children. The donated funds will go directly toward helping them as they adjust to life without their father.

“This book was written to bring comfort,” Hopkins said. “If it can also help two grieving children in our community, then its purpose becomes even bigger.” ‘When Daddy Dies Too Soon’ is published by Kannyn Books and is available for purchase at KannynBooks.com, the Kannyn Books Facebook page, and Amazon.
