Local Death Notices

The following Obituary was announced for Maree C. Cheatham.

Maree C. Cheatham, 75, of Munhall, passed away from a stroke on August 28, 2017. She was a former member of The First Presbyterian Church of Clairton and a member of Homestead United Presbyterian Church, noted as a member of "YouNow." She was originally of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and lived a large portion of her life in San Gabriel, California. Her survivors include siblings Margaret Webster, of Lincoln Place and Chester Cheatham, of Jefferson Borough; and friends Rev. Gregory Neal of Commerce, Texas, Charles Hill of New Jersey, and Ester Heckmond of Dravosburg, PA. She is preceded in death by parents, Charles Pershing Hatcher (1919-1944), Betty Lou Cheatham (1902 - 1976), and stepfather, Odell Cheatham (1904 - 1977). She is now at rest in St. Mary Mangdelene Cemetery, next to her husband Robert Staron (1958-2016). A funeral service is not able to occur, and friends are asked, in her request, to donate to The American Heart Association or to The Daughters Of The American Revolution.
