The Better Business Bureau will be at the Library on Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. to present a talk on protecting your identity.
Did you know that identity theft is the fastest growing white-collar crime in the United States today? In fact, one incident of identity fraud occurs every three seconds! Identity fraud is a serious issue, as fraudsters have stolen $112 billion in the past six years. Attend this BBB’s presentation to learn about the red flags of identity theft, types of information identity thieves are after, different examples of identity theft scams and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a victim of an identity thief.
