Step Aside Scramble

A ‘Step Aside Scramble’ was the format for closing day for the Youghiogheny Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Separated by only 1 stroke, the victory went to team (pictured L to R) Diane Riley, Vickie McDevitt and Maureen Fiore. Following dinner, the ladies held their closing meeting and awarded prizes to tournament winners.

• Memorial Tournament: Penny Natale, net 59
• Petticoat Tournament: Penny Natale, net 64
• Star of the year: Dottie Bitonti- Wissen, net 70
• Low Gross Champion: Lori Duncan
• Low Net a Champion: Vickie McDevitt
• Ringer winners by flights: Lori Duncan, Penny Natale, Maureen Fiore
• Most Improved Golfer: Dottie Bitonti-Wisson

Step Aside Scramble

One lady was left standing following double elimination at the Youghiogheny Country Club as the Ladies Golf Association hosted their ‘5 Ladies Out’ tournament recently.  At the season's conclusion, 5 golfers qualified by getting one of the 5 lowest net scores on a day chosen prior to teeing off.  The lady left standing was Vickie McDevitt.

Last Tournament

The last tournament at Youghiogheny Country Club Ladies Golf Association, was held recently. The low net winner of 70 was Dottie Bitonti-Wissen of Rostraver Township. Qualifying stars of the day were: Penny Natale, Vickie McDevitt, Joanne McHolme, Lynn McHolme, Valarie Wilson and Dottie Bitonti-Wissen. 2024’s winner was Penny Natale with a net 73.
