The Vargas Girls Pinup girls participated again for the fifth year as reenactors at the 35th Annual World War II Weekend (June 5-7th) in Reading, PA. This event is one of the largest WWII events and air show in the US and is hosted by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum.

The group has been in existence for over five years and this event is aligned to many core values of the group including supporting veterans, preserving history, and promoting the pinup genre. The group creates a backyard set in the “Home Front” section of the event and along with numerous other reenactors transport you back in time to what home looked like during the war. As reenactors the Vargas Girls interact with the patrons by taking pictures, discussing the historically correct props in the set, and created the backdrop for everyone to feel like they were back in 1940’s.

Miss Row Row, the group’s founder says it best “we want to accomplish a number of good things by participating in this event. First, expose our group to different experiences through the pinup genre, and most importantly do our part to create living history so it can be enjoyed and passed down to the younger generations.”

This is also an event that enables the whole group to participate, not just the ladies, but the Men of Vargas that help create a wonderful land of real dynamic at the event.
