The Paul Harris Fellow designation is one of the highest honors bestowed by Rotary International and recognizes individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, totaling $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. Named after Rotary founder Paul Harris, the recognition honors a commitment to Rotary's mission of service and humanitarian efforts around the world.
For all three recipients, this marks their first Paul Harris Fellow recognition, an important milestone in their Rotary journey.
- Ashleigh Collins has played a vital role in the club's success through her service as Treasurer and her dedication to public image efforts. Her commitment to the club's mission and community impact has helped strengthen Rotary's presence throughout the South Hills.
- Sidra DeRose has been a passionate advocate for membership growth and engagement. Through her leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to welcoming new members, she has helped build a stronger and more vibrant Rotary Club.
- Fran Ruppen has served the club faithfully as Secretary, ensuring meetings, records, and communications run smoothly. Her attention to detail, reliability, and dedication behind the scenes have been instrumental to the club's success.
The awards were presented during an evening dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and service of club members throughout the Rotary year. Family, friends, and fellow Rotarians gathered to recognize those who embody Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self."
Through contributions to The Rotary Foundation, Paul Harris Fellows help fund projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, protect the environment, and strengthen communities across the globe.
"We are proud to recognize Ashleigh, Sidra, and Fran for this achievement," said Club President Cindy Weiss. "Each of them has made a tremendous impact on our club and our community. Their dedication to service and commitment to Rotary's values make them truly deserving of this honor."
The Rotary Club of Pleasant Hills congratulates Ashleigh Collins, Sidra DeRose, and Fran Ruppen on becoming Paul Harris Fellows and thanks them for their continued service to the club, the community, and Rotary International.
