On May 17, Mila Mallegol turned 9 years old.

Instead of asking for birthday presents like most 9-year-olds, she asked her family and friends to donate to City Mission's Crabtree Kovacicek Veterans House. She collected the money and dropped it off recently for along with some delicious homemade cookies.
"The Cub Scouts come here to City Mission to help and bring donations, and that inspired me," Mila said. Her brother is a member of Cub Scout Troop 1313 from McMurray. What a mature and thoughtful way to give back. Thank you, Mila, for being an inspiration for all of us!
