Summer News from West Newton Public Library recently announced.
As the school year comes to a close, the West Newton Library's summer reading program is heating up. The program will be held on Wednesdays, June 8, 15, and 22. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the program kicks off at 10 a.m. The program is open to children ages 4 and up and need to be accompanied by a guardian.
The kids will have a great time reading, playing games and making crafts. There will be snacks and prizes as well. The program will take place at the Lion's Field House located at 507 Pittsburgh St West Newton. For more information please call the library at 724-972-3229.
Mark your calendar for our Annual Super Book Sale. The book sale will take place on Friday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Plumer House, located on South Water St. in West Newton. There will be four rooms jam-packed with books. Paperbacks will be 25 cents, hardbacks $1, or fill a bag for $5. If you would still like to donate books to our sale, please give the library a call at 724-972-3229. All proceeds raised benefit the upkeep of the library.
