A longstanding library support organization in South Park Township has reached an important milestone.
Formerly known as the Friends of the South Park Township Library, the group has now been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity and will now operate as the ‘Friends of the South Park Township Library Foundation’.
While the name has changed, the organization’s 50-year mission remains the same, and its new public charity status strengthens its ability to secure donations, grants, and partnerships to support library services and community programming as it continues to serve as a vital hub for literacy, lifelong learning and access to educational and technological resources.
