(NAPS)—A growing number of people are finding it may be to their benefit to have their career go to the dogs.

For example, consider the case of Dr. Jen Tserng, who left medicine to join the sharing economy as a dog sitter.

She cares for several dogs a day and earns more than she did as a doctor. "I love what I do now and so I do a great job, which keeps clients coming back to me," she said. "I can rely on a certain level of income that I can dial up or down however I choose."

(StatePoint) The majority of pet owners say they have at least one dog or cat with behavioral problems, which easily can be exacerbated by such startling things as July 4th fireworks and summer thunderstorms.

And unfortunately behavioral issues are the number one reason for euthanasia in dogs and cats, resulting in the death of approximately 15 million pets each year.
